INternet / Network Cables in the middle east

Egypt's Transport Ministry says video surveillance shows no ships were in the area at the time of the incident.
In case you have missed the big news, internet service in Egypt, UAM, Quatar, and some of the middle east has been disrupted by undersea cables being cut.

Not an accident?

That is what I am saying. Recently there have been FOUR different distinct major undersea network cables cut in the middle east.  And the first sign of any real information about it is that it is likley not an accident.  I do not know what is going on, but I bet it gets worse before it gets better.  I am also guessing that this is just a test.  Whoever is cutting or damaging cables is just trying to find out how good all of the redundant systems are, before they try it in some other area.
